JEE Main 2023 - NTA has announced the JEE Mains 2023 exam date at jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023. Session 1 of JEE Main Exam 2023 will be conducted on 24, 25, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31. January, while the second phase will be held on April 06, 07, 08, 09, 10, 11 and 12. Number of attempts for NTA JEE Main 2023 is 2- January and April. NTA conducts Joint Entrance Examination (Main paper 1) for admission to B.E/B.Tech courses offered at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating state governments. JEE Main paper 2 is conducted for admission to B.Arch/B.Plan courses JEE Main 2023 exam also acts as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, which is conducted for admission to IITs.

JEE Main 2023: Changes Introduced
NTA has increased the JEE Main 2023 registration fee. Now, the JEE Main 2023 fee for General male candidates in 1000, while for females, it is 800.
Changes in the JEE Main 2023 eligibility criteria has also been noticed. The authorities have re-introduced the 75% criteria for admission to NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
The total number of exam centres in India has also reduced. Now, the JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in 399 centres located in India.
Moreover, while filling out the JEE Mains application form 2023, aspirants have to mandatorily provide parent's email id and mobile number.

Qualifying Examination

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from a recognised board.

Year of Passing the Qualifying Examination

Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022 or are appearing for it in 2023 will only be eligible for JEE Main 2023.

Number of Subjects in the Qualifying Examination

The candidates should have qualified in 5 subjects:

- Language

- Mathematics

- Physics

- Chemistry/Biology/Biotechnology/Technical Vocational Subject

- Any other subject

Admission Criteria for IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs

For B.Tech/B.Arch/B.Plan admissions in IIITs, NITs and CFITs

Candidates should have secured minimum 75% marks (65% for SC/ST category candidates) or should fall under the top 20 percentile of their respective boards.

 

For B.Arch admission in institutes other than IIITs, NITs and CFITs

Candidates should have scored 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent.

NTA has released JEE Main 2023 Application Form in online mode. Candidates need to visit jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023 to complete the NTA JEE registration process.
